Can I get my data out?

Yes. Getting your data out of BrokerDam is a normal feature rather than a support ticket.

Contacts and deals. Both export directly from their own pages inside the app, whenever you want them. You do not need to be cancelling, you do not need to ask someone to run a job for you, and there is no queue. Brokers use this for all sorts of ordinary reasons: pulling a list for an accountant, checking numbers against a lender statement, or keeping a periodic copy of the book because that is prudent.

Signed documents. Executed documents download as PDFs, and so do their e sign certificates. That second part matters more than it sounds. A signed PDF on its own is a document. The certificate is what records signer authentication and document integrity, which is the evidence you want if a signature is ever questioned. Both leave with you.

Uploaded files. The documents your clients uploaded through their portal are downloadable from the file they belong to, so the supporting package stays with the deal record it relates to.

Underneath all of this is a simple position. Your book is yours. The client relationships, the deal history and the paperwork were built by your work, and a software vendor holding them hostage to prevent a cancellation is not a business model worth defending. There is no export fee, no data retrieval charge and no clause that makes leaving expensive.

It is the same reason import is free and unlimited at the other end. If bringing a book in costs nothing and taking it out costs nothing, the only thing keeping an account is whether the product is doing useful work.
