Bring your Filogix book into BrokerDam

The honest version

Filogix does not publish a self-serve public API that third-party CRMs can connect to. There is no key you can generate in your own account and paste into BrokerDam. That is a decision on Filogix's side, not a gap in BrokerDam, and it applies to every CRM in this market — anyone promising you a live two-way Filogix sync should be asked exactly how it works.

A live API connection would require a partnership agreement with Finastra, Filogix's owner. We do not have one today, and we would rather say that plainly than imply something we cannot deliver. If that changes, this page changes with it.

What we do support, today, is the path that actually gets your book out of Filogix and into a CRM you control: file import.

How the import works

1. Export your deal history from Filogix Expert as a file. Take everything you can — funded deals, in-progress files, borrower details.
2. In BrokerDam, open Settings → Import and upload the file. BrokerDam reads the columns and proposes a mapping onto its own deal and contact fields.
3. Review the mapping, correct anything that landed in the wrong column, and confirm. Nothing is written until you approve the preview.
4. BrokerDam deduplicates as it writes, matching on email and phone so returning clients don't arrive twice, then creates the deals and links each borrower and co-borrower to the right file.

What carries over

Contacts come across as real records: borrower and co-borrower names, email addresses and phone numbers, each as its own contact rather than a name in a note. Deals carry whatever your export includes — mortgage amount, purchase price where applicable, key dates, lender and subject property address — with the stage mapped onto your BrokerDam pipeline so files land somewhere sensible.

What an import can't do is reach into Filogix later. Once the book is in, ongoing files are managed in BrokerDam: the pipeline, reminders, conditions, texting, e-sign, renewals and marketing all run here. If you keep originating in Filogix, you re-export and re-import when you want the newer files brought over — deduplication means repeat imports update rather than duplicate.

If you also use Velocity

Velocity (Newton) does offer a key you can generate yourself, so that connection is a real sync rather than an import. Brokers who submit through both typically import the Filogix archive once and connect Velocity for the current book — see the Velocity integration.

Does BrokerDam sync live with Filogix?

What comes across in an import?

Deals and the people on them. Borrower and co-borrower names, email addresses and phone numbers become contacts; each deal becomes a deal record with the fields your export contains — mortgage amount, purchase price, key dates, lender and subject property address — and a stage mapped onto your BrokerDam pipeline. Records are deduplicated against what is already in your account, so re-importing an updated file does not create a second copy of the same client.
